This boy is a miracle and truly a gift to me, Chase and bubba. Our little family of 4 feels complete, like Zion was missing the whole time. Bubba LOVES him, so much so we have to hold him back from smothering him. Haha. I’m just undone!!! Every day!! 😭😭 – – Here is very short version is his birth story: At this very moment last week I was headed to our birthing center ( @beachcitiesmidwifery ) for a 41 week check up. Had no idea that by 7:30pm we would transferred saddleback hospital due to sudden preeclampsia and some other things that seemed off. We arrived at the hospital and watched our guys little heartbeat go UP and DOWN and UP and DOWN. At 4:30am on Friday we almost went in for C-Section because his heart rate got so low, but he bounced back. The doctors and midwife ( BJ Snell, who is AMAZING ) suggested I keep laboring. God was with us, my husband was AMAZING, my mom and doula were incredible and we had ALOT of people praying. However, after 30+ hours of laboring, epidural, pitocin, and basically anything to try to get him out our midwife, BJ Snell, came in and simply said “he’s running out of energy, lets go meet your baby” in the calmest most peaceful voice. We were taken quickly to the OR for a C-section and by 6:30am on Saturday I was holding Zion Joshua Courage!!! I love him so much. 😭 I am still blown away by our midwife and the saddleback staff. I spared ALOT of details in this caption because they are irrelevant and incomparable to the joy of holding and knowing this baby 😭😭😭. He is the kindest & sweetest little buddy. – – I learned so much through this process. First of all it brought Chase and I so close as we desperately waited and fought for our baby. When they held him over the curtain after c-section I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes. He is God’s gift to us. The glory of God was in that operating room. Chase got to be there for the whole, Quick surgery and cut the cord! It was all just so amazing. And I could go on and on about @beachcitiesmidwifery and their amazing staff and care!!!!!
While Zion is Lindy’s and husband Chase’s firstborn child, he is their second son. In December last year, the two began fostering their son Bubba when he was only a month old. Lindy and her husband continue to be very passionate about foster care and adoption, encouraging fans to message them if interested in joining an adoption and foster care movement.
“Our little family of 4 feels complete,” Lindy shared. “He is God’s gift to us.”
Send your congratulations to the Cofer family here.
